John Core
John has a genuine passion for teaching God’s word with an emphasis on the grace of God and the practical application of the Scriptures.  He has been teaching and leading various ministries for over 14 years.  John graduated with his Master of Divinity Degree in Biblical Communication from Phoenix Seminary.  He is married to Sharon, and together they have two children:  Alyssa and Joshua.  In addition to leading Resurrection Church, John enjoys recording and producing a Bible-based discussion podcast called “Living Truth with John Core and C.L. Mitchell” (www.PassionforHisWord.com). 
John loves to read, spend time with his family and friends, and is an avid runner.
Clayton Covey
Student Ministry

Clayton is part of our IGNITE Student Ministry team.  He was recently accepted into the Barnabas Pastoral Program at Grand Canyon University and will pursue his degree in Christian studies with an emphasis in theology and a minor in business. With this, he is hoping to fulfill his calling and pastor a church someday. Clayton’s prayers and goals for the IGNITE Student Ministry include growing the students in their relationship with Christ and to help each one to reach the lost and bring them to victory in Christ.

Kevin Cox
Pastor at Resurrection Church, New Orleans, LA
Pastor Kevin Cox has pastored for over 20 years with Calvary Chapel Association and Calvary Chapel. He teaches bible college in Cap Haitian, Haiti and has taught at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Waterford, Ireland. He holds a BA in Applied Music (1994), a MA in Biblical Studies (2010), a ThM in Theology and Historical Studies (2014), and a ThM in Biblical Studies (2019) from NOBTS. He is currently in Senior Residency for a PhD in Biblical Interpretation at NOBTS.
Bishop C.L. Mitchell
Pastor at Veritas Bible Church
Bishop C.L. Mitchell is humbled and honored to be the husband of Lisa “Sweetie” Mitchell and is a loving father. He has a vast educational background.  In 2007, He, along with his wife, founded Veritas Bible Church. As of February 2012, he received episcopal ordination with responsibilities over a series of churches in Europe as well as the Southwestern United States. Bishop Mitchell and Pastor John Core co-founded “Living Truth,” the international podcast that caters to a wide audience. He is a sought after speaker throughout the United States of America and Europe.
Dr. Clark Vangilder
Professor of Physics at Central Arizona College.
Dr. Vangilder served as Assistant Pastor of Calvary Chapel Maricopa from 2005 – 2017, a church he also helped plant with Chris Ward in May 2005. Prior to marrying Gia and having two daughters, Noelle (2001) and Isabella (2004), Clark spent 6 years operating nuclear power plant onboard US Navy submarines (1985-1991) and serving in various music and apologetics ministry from 1987 until now. Dr. Vangilder attends Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Casa Grande, Arizona serving on the worship team and teaching an adult Sunday school class.
